Justin Lack Jam And Drum Solo From Madrid, Spain
Thanks For Checking Out My Site!
I started drums at 12 years old, playing everything from jazz to punk rock to classical through high school. After that, I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston MA where I had the chance to work with John Ramsey and Dave DiCenso. John was the nicest guy you could ever meet. Very patient and a great teacher. Dave was my private teacher. He was incredible and showed me new ways to practice and think about drumming. More than technique, I learned a philosophy about drums that I carry with me to this day.
In 2008 I joined Fashion Bomb, quit my job and started playing/teaching for a living. With Fashion Bomb, I have seen the entire country, performed in music videos and played in front of thousands. We toured the country with Ill Nino, playing 28 shows in 32 days and performed on numerous mini-tours around the midwest at clubs such as The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, The Machine Shop in Fint, Michigan and Station 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
In November 2009 I took over as head drum instructor at The Rock House Music School in Wilmette IL. The focus of the school is pop and rock music. We try to get kids playing together in bands as quickly as possible, showing them that music is more of a team effort than many music schools would have you believe.
In November of 2011 I released my tutorial drum program, “All Beat Up A Drum-Torial”. Collectively it’s a book, CD and double disc DVD that will take most players through their first full year of playing and beyond. Learn the beats, fills and breakdowns that you hear every day in your favorite songs! I'm currently accepting students for private and group lessons all over LA.
